A brief hello...
Just wanted to say hello to everyone and share some great news! My sister Heather has arrived safely in Ireland and as I type this, she is sitting on a bus en route to Belfast. :) She should be here at 10:45 am... unfortunately, I have to be in work in about a half hour so Niall is going to pick her up. Though I'm bummed I'll be at Soul Food while Heather is sitting in my apartment, I'm so grateful she has arrived safely and I can't wait to come home to a familiar Santa Barbara face. :)
This week has gone well. Niall and I have been looking forward to visitors ever since we got here, so the anticipation of someone arriving has been exciting. Niall, Heather and I will be picking up Taylor (arriving in Dublin from France) at the airport tomorrow. Then we're all off to Naas for the weekend to be with the Madden family and celebrate Avril's 21st!
I better go, I have a couple of more things to do before I get ready for work. We will take some photos this weekend and check back with you all next week! Love you guys...

Time to get serious!
I've been a lazy blogger of late. Time to get back in the game. Hello all. What do I have to update you with?
Well firstly our sister - the one, the only, Heather Ryan Dohm will be coming to town in 3 days! Unbelievable excitement all around Belfast and Ireland for this monumental event. The Madden house is bustling, Erin is beside herself, and the eligible bachelors of this fine country are lining up outside The Bakery for their chance to court the last Dohm girl on the market. Sorry boys, I've been told she doesn't like Euros! Anyway, I'm under strict orders from family and friends back home in the Golden State to not allow Heather to succumb to the same fate as her sister. Additionally, do you know how much flights back and forth cost?! Erin and I do! Small fortune when you do it as often as we do.
On that subject.... the following is a public request to Jonathan & Karen Dohm. Would you by any chance be driving by LAX on Thursday December 20th at 3pm? There'll be 2 hitchhikers with a 5543 sign standing on W Century Blvd. :)
A question to the men out there (don't worry ladies - not a sexist rant!). You spot a lady dressed in a certain manner that you appreciate. Is it acceptable to say to your wife - I'd like you to look like her? Now hold your horses for a second. I'm not referencing the woman's physical appearance, rather her dress sense. Well I said this to my wife. The woman? She is in the picture below.
I happen to be a man with old fashioned taste. I really appreciate the 1950's housewife look. Society today would do well to take many an example from yesteryear! This particular lady happened to appear in the City of Belfast's recent recycling campaign and caught my eye. I don't rate her physical beauty. No sir. I don't think I will ever find a maiden as fair as my own. But I do respect the way she has presented herself for her husband who no doubt will be returning home from a hard days labour soon.
Lastly, I'm under attack. Friendly fire some might say. But a phrase I hear a lot these days is 'This just isn't working out'. Not the best motto to define your first 3 months of marriage. But I cannot do you all a disservice and tell you it is working out. I, too, can admit that its not. Consequently I shall be making my resume available to the following organisations:
I love my career choice but my number one concern in life is the welfare of my family. Its not what you know but who you know so if anyone has any leads for the above, contact me.
Until next time blogonauts - nerdy niall - over and out.

Oh! So you want her back?
| 250lbs of luggage |
This week will mark 3 months of Erin's time in her new country.
I am pleased to report that she is prospering.
You guys all love her, I get that. California will always be her 'home'. I get that too.
But boy oh boy am I glad to have her with me!
Stop getting angry at me! I know, I know. I'm bringing her back.
Friday 21st December you can share her with me for 2 weeks if you like.
Thats generous. Because I'm bad at sharing.
