Everything is falling into place

With the Riss-monster (Sarah Risser) arriving shortly and the impending arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Dohm the Bakery has been a hive of activity.

Firstly, to make our guests feel more at home we bought this:
Ok! We actually bought it for ourselves. But you benefit too!

Secondly, under spirited encouragment from her mother, my wife is back in the art game. Soul Food will bear witness to her talents for the first time this Monday. Wish her luck.

Lastly, we've been watching Downton Abbey - another instruction from KJD. Who'd have thought it?! Of all people. We aim to be fully caught up with the Dohms before their arrival. It will also help us out at social functions when the topic of tv shows comes up. We currently draw a blank outside of the US Office!

And so life returns to normal

Back to work (yes, though we may seem to some as taking far too many days off - we work all the same), back to weekly grocery trips, back to church (not soon enough!), back to keeping house, back to the gym (not likely).... back to our lives in Belfast.

Everything is as we left it, with the exception of a few welcome days of sunshine. I got a new phone. It is fancy and slim and takes great photos:

Back to Espresso Elements!

In fact, it is so smart that it can take groups photos and ensure that no one is blinking and everyone is smiling! How genius! Photos like these won't have 12 carbon copies, none of which are perfect.

Take 7!

Erin got to do the fun blog post - say little and dump a bunch of cool pictures. No one wants to read my balderdash! And most of the photos have been uploaded. So excuse me if I drag you along for too long.

Erin and I appear to have lost an alarming amount of weight from our trip to California - rather the opposite of what one would predict. I don't care to mention her statistics - I am a gentleman - however, from the day I arrived to this present day I have lost 11 lbs. I would not be surprised if the bulk of that is atop Gibraltar (thank you for sharing that with the blogosphere my love). It was certainly an active trip and if I am honest, one of my favourites (no offence Tony or Enda). And though it humiliated me, conquering Gibraltar might just have been the best experience. Now, I must train to become studly enough to conquer it 3 times a week before work and without emptying the contents of my stomach each time. Mr. Dohm, I tip my hat to you. Heather Dohm... EPO, bionic legs, something is not right about what you do! I know the combination of Dohm - Munter genes is a potent mix but I am not willing to believe that your conquests are natural.

The freaks! In their heads - 'which mountain next?'. In mine - 'would British
Airways cover some Saline and an airlift?

Speaking of mixing genes.... the latest marriage of 2 impressive gene pools has created a brother for my favourite niece and nephew. Rhett Rowbottom - I look forward to endless hours of play time! But please, for my sake, don't get into Ninjago. Erin and I can't wait to meet the latest expansion to the Rowbottom empire.

I suppose I do have a cool story with photos to boot - we went back to London not 3 days after we returned from CA! More holidays I hear you cry! Relax, we won it in a soda bottle competition - not all expenses paid, just flights and car hire.

We're back!

Instead of doing the usual in metropolis we rented a car and drove to
a set of idyllic villages in Central England called the Cotswolds
Once there we rented mountain bikes & took in a combination of
off-road trails and village lanes

Using GPS in the Cotswolds just seems sacrilegious

Shakespeare was born here

We ate at a trout farm - guess what we ordered...
We stumbled upon the World's Largest Military Airshow! Here, in
the Cotswolds! Who would have thought it?

An Avro Vulcan from the 50's. Of 136 made there is only one
left that is airworthy. I got lucky!

Back to the modern world

Our 3rd West End show

Starring Harry Potter (in the middle)

In the Noel Coward theatre

We also stumbled across the 100th birthday celebrations
of Aston Martin

Very impressive with celebrities galore

Aston upon Aston - people were mystified

All but one... predictably

Big Ben by night

Cocktails!

Erin's favourite breakfast spot - Bill's

Such a sight to behold!

More recently we played a round of crazy golf with a wager of a 30 min massage placed. You might recall a similar event last year where I won and Erin had to wear a pink tennis skirt to one of our softball matches! That was so unbelievably worth it hahaha!!! Anyway, this year's wager was much more tame - same result however.

Argh maties, another victory!

Until next time bloganauts
