In fact, almost hilariously, Accident & Emergency departments all across the country have been slammed dealing with chronic sunburn! Foolish Irish people confused by the strange bright circle in the sky. My dad was in the hospital last night (don't worry - nothing serious) at 2am and there were irritated roasted Irish people all over screaming "don't touch me", "ah it burns", and "hook the aloe vera up directly to my veins". I'm not even joking.
Needless to say there is one Irish resident who has been dancing in the streets, gathering mirrors and pointing all their photovoltaic energy towards her like there'll never be any sun again.

My motivation to work this week has waned. Most days I skipped out at 3.30pm and Erin and I sprinted over to Ormeau Park to renew our tennis rivalry. It isn't what it once was - from 3 days of play I won all 6 sets. I remember a very different time when the scores were much more even and our marriage was much more on the rocks :)

| French Open got us in the mood - We watched the epic 5 set semi between Djokovic and Nadal |
Most fun of all though - for the first time since I can't remember - I got to spend my birthday at home in Naas! It was brilliant. Photos below:
