Where to begin...

(*side note*  ---->  this post was meant to be published last Saturday!)

Well, I have to admit-- the longer time goes on, the more reluctant I feel to write on this thing.  The thought of putting everything from our last real post until now into a nutshell is a bit daunting!  But it has to be done.  And I've already broken my word about getting it published over a week ago.  Forgive me!  I really shouldn't make such public promises.  :)

So I'll set the scene here-- I have our "fireplace" going, it's raining outside, and I'm feeling pretty cozy with my cup of tea.  I know all you Santa Barbarians are still enjoying some hot days here and there, but that is not the case in Belfast!  We have officially moved into Autumn and unfortunately Winter is not too far off.  It has been really beautiful here lately.  I did a "5k run in the park" this morning... they have them at different parks all around Belfast every Saturday and the Ormeau Park location is quite handy for us.  The sun was peeking through and all the colors were gorgeous.

Okay, I am going to stop with the small talk and do my best to sum up the past couple of months.  It will be a bit random with me pulling photos from all sorts of occasions, but at least you'll get a wee catch up!

We really enjoyed the last part of summer here.  The weather was fantastic which always gives Ireland a completely different feel!

Beach volleyball tournament down in Waterford (very South of Ireland).
It was an All-American final!  My friend Sarah and I won :)

Niall got some good surf sessions in with the lads

Avril came to visit for a weekend
"Cave Hill" hike
Niall took her to one of our favourite breakfast spots, "Harlem Cafe"

Another story... busy day at Soul Food and someone didn't show up for his shift, so look who stepped in...
What a guy!  :D

We finally won a tournament together!  At one of my favourite spots on the North Coast, Portrush.
We had some good competition in the final
celebrating with milkshakes at Maggie May's
The day that Niall and I won the tournament, the waves were actually pretty good!  Lots of surfers out.
Always a little rainshower here and there!
Hey Mark, how come you don't get one of those?!  Maybe you should relocate... :)

My Soul-Food-inspired homemade muesli.  Autumn is coming...
