Bonjourno!

Hello all... well, it's after midnight here... with that said, Happy 4th of July to everyone back home!  Niall and I should be asleep now, but we have been up drinking tea and talking to his parents.  Our flight to Italy leaves from Dublin early tomorrow morning, so we drove down to Naas this evening after we both got off work.

This shot was taken a few hours ago driving out of rainy Belfast... a Starbucks coffee usually helps.  But at this point I need something stronger than caffeine to cheer me up!

We are SO excited (me for sun, Niall for food!) for our holiday.  I've been trying not to let it get me down-- but I have to say, the weather here has been pretty depressing of late!  I learned from Niall tonight that June 2012 was the wettest month EVER recorded in the UK and Ireland.  At least I got to take part in something that will go down in history!  In church on Sunday our pastor told us a humourous story.  He was driving with his nine year old daughter in the car... he must have had a sour look on his face while it was lashing rain outside, because Abigail said to him, "Dad, unless you learn how to cope with the rain in Northern Ireland, your life is going to be miserable!"

I can definitely relate.  It doesn't do any good to complain, so this Californian girl might as well get used to it-- maybe ten days in the sun will rejuvinate me!  Five days in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, then we're heading up to Rome for another four days.  We brought my bulky, touristy-looking camera so we'll be sure and take lots of photos to share!  Niall and I have had Italian weather set on our phones for the last few months.  I'm pretty excited about the heat, while Niall is a little nervous.  Maybe say a prayer for him if you think of it!

A picture of my phone screen at the moment.  75 degrees at night?!  I'll take it!  (Evan, as you can see Cole and Harper are my background :)

Alright, we have to wake up at quarter to five tomorrow so I better go.  Sorry Mom I couldn't get a hold of you today to say good bye... have tons of fun with the McGlades, tell them we say hello.  And Cindy, I will call you as soon as I get back!!  Thanks for the video of Lane... she's adorable.  :)

We love you all.  Ciao!
